Free WordPress Theme Like the NEW Lifehacker, Gawker Template

Last week all the blogs in Gawker network like lifehacker, gizmodo got a new-design concept which surprised lot of people. Somehow it didn’t create buzz as it failed to impress people leading to criticism.
But in case if you are one of the very few like me who liked the new lifehacker wordpress theme, then you can try out QAWKER, a new WordPress theme that is a fully-working, and free to download clone of the Gawker/Gizmodo/Lifehacker/Kotaku redesign.

QAWKER : Free Lifehacker, GizModo Worpress Theme Clone

The code written by Sahas Katta of skattertech.com, is entirely open source, so feel free to make changes or improvements. It works perfectly with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari.
Like the original, his template features a two-pane interface with a full article on the left and a list of scrollable recent posts bar on the right. He used jQuery to get all the instant loading features working without the need to refresh pages. Nice :)
Note: I noticed thats jQuery dynamic content loading is not changing the URL in the address bar unlike the lifehacker etc theme. Now this will stop Google Bot etc from Crawling the Site properly. Also it might trigger a sitewide Penalty. So I think one should wait for this theme’s developer to release a bug free version.
